Art and Pattern
The Department of Art and Blueprint's overarching mission is to foster broad inquiry within the visual arts, including appointment with not-Western cultural studies and diverse artful experiences.
Criminal Justice
Train to piece of work in various sectors of the criminal justice system, including law enforcement, corrections, homeland security, and juvenile justice.
History
The Section of History is essential to the core of liberal arts at North Carolina Central University. Our diverse population of faculty and students appoint with educational activity and learning history through innovative inquiry, heady courses, pupil projects, digital humanities, public history, and service learning.
Language and Literature
The Section of Language and Literature engages students with languages, cultures, literature, linguistics, and writing. We foster students' belittling and artistic thinking and teach communication strategies that business relationship for global perspectives to fix students for civic and professional life.
Mass Communication
As ane of the newest departments of its type in the nation, the Department of Mass Communication prepares students for careers and study in mass advice by offering engaged learning, pupil media and enquiry experiences, and connections to professional practice opportunities.

Undergraduate Degrees
Degree programs in the College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities offer undergraduate students opportunities to explore and get credentialed in areas ranging from public relations to global security. Online and in-class programs provide students with skillful education, experiential learning, inquiry and civic engagement opportunities, and internships and professional development. All advisable programs are fully accredited.
Graduate Degrees
The College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities offers main'southward degrees in History, Psychology, Social Work, English, Criminal Justice, Public Assistants, and Jazz Studies. Inside these areas, students may concentrate in areas related to public health policy, clinical psychology, public history, and urban and regional planning. Students as well take an opportunity to complete joint programs with the School of Police force.

Homeland Security Institute
The Institute of Homeland Security educates students and the local customs about issues related to terrorism and emergency management.
